From theme parks to beaches, to farms and play parks, you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding things to do with kids in Yorkshire. Here I share a guest post written by http://www.mumlifeand.me sharing the best attractions in Yorkshire for kids.

You could plan this into the school holidays, a weekend day out or a birthday celebration. Whatever you decide, you are guaranteed to have fun!

Here are 10 Yorkshire attractions for kids:
Stockeld Park
For a great day out for the whole family, Stockeld Park is where you want to be.
The park, which is based in Wetherby, Yorkshire, is known for its Christmas events and illuminations – so on your visit, expect pure magic and fantasy.
Stockeld Park features an Enchanted Forest, The Hive indoor play area, a Woodland Cafe, a selection of fantastical outdoor play areas, live performances, and my personal favourite, a giant maze! Add this to your ‘Things To Do With Kids’ in Yorkshire list, and have fun!

Mother Shipton’s
This is Knaresborough’s main and probably oldest attraction.

Since it opened its doors in 1630, the popular tourist spot tells the story of Mother Shipton and the Petrifying Well – plus the cave, where Mother Shipton was born.
It also features a picturesque mile-long walk along the river Nidd. If you go during key times of the year, such as Easter, you will see they go all out with the props! Perfect for photograph opportunities.

Web Adventure Park
Whatever the weather, there’s plenty of fun to be had at the Web Adventure Park, which is based in York. Inside there’s a huge soft play area with large slides and climbing frames.
There are also plenty of areas for babies and toddlers. A role-play village with dressing-up costumes, exciting ball cannons and a football arena. There’s also a cafe that serves a wide selection of food.
Outside there are plenty of rides, climbing frames, go-karts, sand play and water play areas. There’s also an animal park with Guinea pigs, goats, pigs and other animals.

Piglets Adventure Farm
Piglets Adventure Farm is a great day out for all the family.
There are playgrounds, Bouncing Pillows, Mini Golf, hidden fairy houses, a Fairy Tale Trail, plenty of animals to see on the Farmyard Trail, and not forgetting the very special piglets with their mums on the Piglet Maternity Ward.
So you’re sure to have an amazing day!

Valley Gardens park and play area
Valley Gardens is an award-winning family-friendly park located in Harrogate.
The gardens are set within 17 acres of English Heritage Grade 2 listed parkland and feature some lovely themed gardens.
There is an amazing adventure playground with a large paddling pool in it too – perfect for a warm summer’s day.

National Railway Museum
Travel back in time and see how high-speed rail travel began at the National Railway Museum in York.
See the world’s fastest steam locomotive, the Mallard, and soak in over 200 years of history.
There are plenty of events on for kids over the holidays too – some are free. All you have to do is book your tickets online.
A great educational day out for all the family.

Flamingo Land
Situated between York and the East coast, Flamingo Land is a theme park, zoo and holiday resort – a great place for a family holiday!
There are so many things for kids to see and do here, including live shows, animal shows, plenty of rides and a selection of restaurants to choose from.
The kids are guaranteed to have a great day out!

Tropical World
Based in Roundhay Park, Leeds, Tropical World is home to many exciting, exotic animals.
On your visit, expect to meet crocodiles, monkeys, butterflies, meerkats and bats!
And under 5’s go free!

Scarborough Beach
Scarborough has an amazing beach, featuring all the usual seaside activities such as donkey rides and amusements.
There are also fairground rides, fish and chips a plenty, ice cream parlours, snooker halls and restaurants.
A perfect day at the seaside for all the family to enjoy.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr
There’s something for everyone at RHS Garden Harlow Carr.
So many beautiful gardens and scenery to explore, some fantastic adventure playgrounds for the kids and Betty’s Tea Room. What could be better than that?
